NDUCFA is pleased to be able to offer one registration scholarship ($2,199 value) to attend the Municipal Forestry Institute (MFI), hosted by the Society of Municipal Arborists each year. MFI is a high-level training opportunity educating professionals in the leadership and managerial aspects of urban forestry. Registration includes course materials, five nights lodging and meals.

The scholarship recipient is expected to prepare one article for NDUCFA’s monthly eNewsletter about his/her experiences at MFI, as well as share information at the annual NDUCFA member meeting during the Tree Care Workshop in January. It is also expected the scholarship recipient will serve on an NDUCFA committee and consider service on the board of directors. The scholarship recipient will be responsible for registering for MFI and covering any additional costs beyond registration, including travel.

NDUCFA is not accepting applications at this time for the MFI Scholarship.

This opportunity is made possible in part through a grant from the USDA Forest Service and the North Dakota Forest Service.
