2018 Tree ID, Insects and Disease Workshop – Sept. 13

Join NDUCFA at the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck Sept. 13 for the opportunity to expand your knowledge and comfort level in identifying trees and tree insects, diseases and disorders. Joe Zeleznik, NDSU Extension, and Lezlee Johnson, NDFS, will share their expertise through presentations, publications and looking at actual samples.

8:45-9:30 am Tree identification – deciduous
9:10-10:15 am Tree identification – conifers
10:15-10:30 am Break
10:30-11:30 am Introduction to tree insects, diseases and abiotic disorders
11:30 am-12:30 pm Samples from attendees, Tree House of Horrors
12:30-1:15 pm Lunch On-Site (included with registration)
1:15-3:00 pm Practice outdoors (or continue with samples if bad weather)
3:00-3:30 pm EAB signs and symptoms
3:30-3:45 pm Break
3:45-4:15 pm Improve tree resilience
