Using the ND TIP Tool to Secure NDFS Grants – Oct. 30
NDUCFA and the North Dakota Forest Service (NDFS) are excited to co-host a FREE webinar to help you learn how using the ND TIP Tool can improve your chances of securing a NDFS grant next spring. The webinar is scheduled Tuesday, Oct. 30, from noon-1 p.m. CT.
The ND TIP Tool has a lot of great features to help you manage your community forest. If your city already has access to the TIP Tool, this webinar is a great opportunity to learn more about it. If your city does not yet have access to the TIP Tool, participating in the Oct. 30 webinar qualifies you to receive a username and password to access all features of the online ND TIP Tool for your city.
The registration deadline is Oct. 26.
2018 Tree Appraisal Workshop – Nov. 1
NDUCFA is hosting a Tree Appraisal Workshop at Valley City State University Nov. 1. Join us for a presentation by Manuel Jordan, Heritage Shade Tree Consultants, on the different techniques used to appraise the value of trees in different situations. Attendees will have the opportunity to practice what they have learned in the field. CEUs will be available.

TREE FUND Webinar: Emerald Ash Borer: Strategies for Conserving Ash in the Urban Forest – Nov. 28
TREE FUND is hosting this free webinar on Nov. 28 at 1 p.m. CT. Learn about the research that provides the scientific basis for emerald ash borer (EAB) management and conservation of ash in urban environments. Dr. Herms, VP of Research & Development for The Davey Tree Expert Company, will walk through the results of multi-year insecticide trials with soil applied, trunk injected, and bark applied systemic insecticides which show that protection of even very large caliper ash trees is a viable option to consider as part of an integrated management program for EAB.
